Kidana Travel Case Study:
Six Accounts Opened at Zero Followers
Kidana Travel had no social accounts at all. We opened six, ran them for three months, and finished with a registration list the sales team can call.

كيف طوّرنا هذا العمل
No Account, and a Season with a Fixed Date
A pilgrimage operator with no digital presence in a season that arrives on a fixed date, in a market where the audience decides once a year and decides early.
One Job per Month
We gave each month one job instead of asking every month to do everything: May to build the audience, June to reach it, July to ask it to register.
A List the Sales Team Can Call
Six live accounts, 14,391 followers built from zero, and 2,453 people on a Hajj and Umrah waiting list, at 11.40 EGP per registration in July.
قصة المشروع
من الرؤية إلى الإطلاق — كل خطوة مدروسة
- Kidana Travel’s management raised social media during the website project and asked what we could do
- Met with them, recorded every requirement, and went through what the company already had, which was nothing
- Studied the market and the season, then put a set of proposals in front of them with what each one covered
- They chose the one that fit, and we started on the strategy and the accounts
- Built the visual identity for the accounts: colours, typography, post templates and video framing
- Filmed inside the company with a scholar answering the questions pilgrims ask, then edited and published in house
- Set a content system in three tracks: fiqh answers, first-time pilgrim moments, and programme offers
- Designed the post series that carried each track, and agreed the tone: answer a real question rather than advertise at people
- Opened six accounts: Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Produced 24 fiqh videos answering questions pilgrims actually ask before they travel
- Ran the first live broadcast for the Day of Arafah, which reached 56,900 views
- Ended the month with 2,614 followers and a content library to run on
- Grew the follower base by 10,334 in a single month, the strongest of the three
- Produced the Kiswat al-Kaaba video with AI, which reached 1.1 million views on its own
- Opened the first waiting-list campaigns and collected 659 registrations
- Reached 3.56 million views, the highest month of the period
- Moved the budget onto lead campaigns: 1,794 registrations in one month, up 172 per cent on June
- Brought the cost per registration to 11.40 EGP, against 15 to 16 EGP on the Umrah side
- Ran a follow campaign that added 35,963 follows at 0.26 EGP each
- Concentrated spend on Facebook and Instagram, where the registrations were coming from
ما الذي بنيناه
الأداء & التسليم
Six Accounts from Zero
Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn and YouTube, all opened, named, branded and filled by us. There was no existing account to inherit and no follower to start from.
Filming, Editing and Publishing
We shot the material ourselves inside the company rather than buying stock, edited it, subtitled it in Arabic and English, and published it on a schedule. That is where the fiqh library came from, and it is why the same face and the same framing run across every account.
A Fiqh Content Library
Twenty-four videos in the first month alone, answering the questions pilgrims search for before they book: what breaks ihram, what a woman does if her period starts during Hajj, what happens the first time you enter the Haram. The highest of them reached 449,000 views.
The Kiswat al-Kaaba Video
One video, made with AI, that reached 1.1 million views with 28,800 likes and 481 comments. It out-reached whole campaigns and set the production direction for the months after it.
Paid Campaigns on Four Platforms
Reach campaigns first, then follow campaigns, then lead campaigns, each with its own creative rather than the same post boosted three ways. July alone carried 118,057 clicks at a 4.94 per cent click rate.
A Hajj and Umrah Waiting List
A registration form and the campaigns feeding it, splitting Hajj from Umrah and Cairo from the governorates, so the sales team gets a list it can sort rather than a pile of names.
Monthly and Quarterly Reporting
A report at the end of every month and a consolidated one at the end of the quarter, carrying the platform figures, the cost per result, and what we would change next month because of them.

لماذا نجح هذا المشروع
14,391 Followers, All of Them New
Built from zero in three months
Six accounts opened in May with no audience at all finished July with 14,391 followers. TikTok leads with 7,366 and Facebook follows with 4,600, which was the fastest growing account in the final month.
9.18 Million Views
Across six platforms in three months
The content reached 9,179,222 views and drew 184,379 likes, comments and shares, an engagement rate of 2.01 per cent across the whole period.
2,453 People on the Waiting List
A list the sales team can call
Registrations ran 659 in June and 1,794 in July, split 1,681 Hajj and 113 Umrah in July alone. The list is built from paid campaigns and is ready to convert when the official Umrah regulations are issued.
11.40 EGP per Registration
And 10.02 EGP per thousand views
The cost per registration landed at 11.40 EGP in the first full month of lead campaigns, and the average cost per thousand views across the period was 10.02 EGP. The accounts are still running and the next phase is turning the list into bookings.
