The Digger Hub is a place where children dig, build, plaster and plumb with real tools at child scale. The brief was to make a site that felt like that, and still read as a business a parent would trust with their child on a Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
They had a new brand identity and wanted the site to sit inside it. We produced a set of design directions, they chose one, they asked for additions and changes, we made them, and the design was approved. Then we built it and launched.<\/p>\n
That was the first project. Some time later the management decided to open a toy shop and attach it to the same site. They came back to us for it.<\/p>\n
The second build is the part worth reading. A shop bolted onto a site that was never designed to carry one is usually visible: a different visual language, a separate checkout that feels like a different company, a menu that grows a stranger. We built it into the structure that was already there. The shop now carries 120 products across eight categories, and before it went live we tested it by putting real purchases through it rather than trusting the checkout because it looked finished.<\/p>\n
